This site is an attempt to distill some 30 years of pan building experience into something that is accessible and useful to aspiring and current pan builders and tuners.
Building and tuning pans is a fairly easy undertaking if you avoid some all-too-common mistakes. I've taught a few folks to do this, and they've had good success with their first instruments.
From time to time I have people come and study with me in my workshop; recently (January 2021) this reached a point where I set up a full on "guest" workstation to accommodate this.
